The MAP Group Named Finalist in the Print Industry Awards 2026
Posted on Aug 19, 2026Our Tactology “Little Box of Textures” has been shortlisted for Best Use of Special Effects
We’re delighted to announce that The MAP Group has been named a finalist in the Print Industry Awards 2026.
Our Tactology “Little Box of Textures” Sample Pack has been shortlisted in the Best Use of Special Effects category—recognising our innovative approach to textured printing and the memorable, tactile experiences it can create.
The Print Industry Awards celebrate outstanding talent, creativity and technical achievement across the UK print sector. Reaching the final is a fantastic endorsement of the expertise, experimentation and attention to detail behind our work.
Print you can feel
Print has always been a visual medium, but textured printing introduces another powerful dimension: touch.
The Little Box of Textures was created to demonstrate how printed materials can do more than communicate through colour and design. Using carefully developed tactile effects, the sample pack allows designers, brands and marketers to see—and feel—how texture can transform a printed piece.
From subtle surfaces that add refinement to bold raised details that immediately command attention, each sample demonstrates the creative possibilities available when specialist print technology is combined with thoughtful design.
In an increasingly digital world, these physical qualities can make print especially memorable. Texture encourages people to pause, interact and explore, helping everything from packaging and direct mail to brochures and promotional materials create a stronger and more lasting impression.
Recognition for innovation and craftsmanship
Being selected as a finalist in the Best Use of Special Effects category is something our whole team is incredibly proud of.
The nomination recognises not just the finished sample pack, but also the technical knowledge and craftsmanship behind it. Producing effective tactile print requires precision at every stage—from selecting and preparing the artwork to testing materials, controlling the production process and ensuring every detail delivers the intended effect.
The Little Box of Textures brings those possibilities together in a practical and inspiring format. It gives clients and creatives a hands-on way to explore different finishes and discover how textured printing could elevate their next project.
Most importantly, it reflects our belief that special effects should serve a purpose. Texture is not simply decoration: used well, it can reinforce a brand’s identity, highlight important design elements, communicate quality and create a more engaging experience for the recipient.
A proud moment for The MAP Group
We would like to thank everyone involved in bringing the Little Box of Textures to life, as well as our clients and creative partners who continue to challenge us to explore what print can achieve.
The winners will be announced at the Print Industry Awards ceremony on 30 September 2026 at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham. Whatever the final result, earning a place among the industry’s finalists is already a tremendous achievement and a proud moment for our team.
If you’d like to discover how textured printing and special effects could bring an extra dimension to your next campaign, packaging concept or printed project, get in touch with The MAP Group. We’d love to help you create print that deserves to be seen, touched and remembered.
