The MAP Group has invested in the latest 3D printing technology with the arrival of the Stratasys J55 Prime PolyJet 3D printer. This brings full-colour, high-fidelity 3D printing and rapid prototyping in-house, sitting alongside our established digital and screen printing processes to offer clients a complete design-to-part service.
The J55 Prime produces over 640,000 unique colour combinations, including Pantone Verified colours, so prototypes come off the machine in vibrant, accurate colour with no hand-painting required. Printing up to five materials simultaneously – rigid, flexible, transparent and tough – it can reproduce everything from soft-touch grips to clear windows and realistic product finishes in a single build. With layer thicknesses down to 18 microns, the J55 Prime delivers exceptional detail and surface finish – quietly, cleanly and odour-free.
